WATERLOO, ONTARIO - June 9, 2008 - RapidMind, provider of the award-winning RapidMind Multi-Core Development Platform, will showcase live demonstrations of a 55x performance improvement of a Binomial option pricing calculator at the SIFMA Technology Management Conference & Exhibition June 10-12 in New York City. RapidMind will be in booth 1742 on the exhibition floor.
In addition, RapidMind will be demonstrating the same accelerated option pricing tool running on the AMD FireStream™ 9170 from in the AMD booth, number 2000, throughout the show. Attendees are invited to view this interactive demonstration.
Dr. Michael McCool, RapidMind chief scientist, will deliver a technical talk explaining how specific parallel programming models are key to leveraging the high-performance available from multi-core processors including x86 CPUs and accelerators. Dr. McCool’s talk will include numerous financial benchmarks, highlighting the performance increases that Rapid-Mind’s customers are attaining using the RapidMind platform.
Dr. McCool will speak on Wednesday, June 11 at 10:00 a.m. in the Grand ballroom on Level 2 of the exhibit hall at the New York Hilton.
